Students at Hemlock finally had the opportunity to celebrate their 100th day of school on Tuesday February 23rd. Initially the children were set to celebrate on the 12th when the two snow days made February 12th only the 98th day of school. On the actual 100th day, Hemlock students wore shirts generously donated by the PTA. This year the shirts depicted Garden City’s mascot the Trojans and the initials GC. Hemlock welcomed special guests Chad Cascadden, former NY Jet and Dean Chynoweth, NY Islander. They lead the students in their normal morning exercises while counting to 100. Students had a fun day using their math skills and working with the numbers 1-100
