Homestead students express love for vets Students in Garden City Public Schools’ primary and elementary buildings, like these from Homestead and Stewart School, created hundreds of handmade cards for the Valentines for Veterans program. Each school’s cards were collected in decorated boxes and delivered to the Veterans Hospital in Northport for display and distribution to veterans who spent Valentine’s Day in the hospital.
