ON FEBRUARY 26, 9:40 p.m., a witness called police headquarters and reported an intoxicated motorist on Stewart Avenue. PO Florio and PO McCarthy responded and arrested a 41-year-old female for alleged DWI (.17%), no insurance, alleged unsafe lane change, and an alleged improper turn... ON MARCH 2, SOMEONE took about $500 in items, including two GPS units, a camera, charger, and cd’s, from 2 unlocked cars parked at Rockaway Avenue... BETWEEN FEBRUARY 26 AND 27, someone broke a rear passenger window on a 2007 Chevy parked at Franklin Avenue but nothing was taken... ON FEBRUARY 26, 7:50 p.m., Police Officer Bandl responded to a call at Chestnut Street and arrested a 53-year-old Garden City female for alleged DWI (.17%), alleged unsafe lane change, no insurance and alleged no passing zone... BETWEEN FEBRUARY 26 and 27, 4 wireless head sets were stolen from a car parked at Cathedral Avenue... ON FEBRUARY 28, 3:20 a.m., PO Wehr arrested a 36-year-old Hempstead female for alleged speeding, alleged DWI (.13%), and the failure to maintain a lane, at Franklin Ave./ Ninth Street... ON FEBRUARY 22, a 45-year-old Rockville Centre male was arrested by detectives for 2 incidents at CVS where he allegedly took assorted merchandise at that store on February 14. The man was charged with 2 counts of petit larceny... ON FEBRUARY 24, a 54-year-old female from Rego Park, allegedly took 3 Whiting Davis purses, and 8 scarves, some of which were Hilary Radley, as well as Godiva chocolate bars, at Lord and Taylor... ON MARCH 2, 10:53 a.m., a suspicious brown substance was found outside a door at Alumnae Hall, Adelphi University. As a result, police responded and locked down the area with students, faculty, security, and responding officers being placed in quarantine until testing was completed. Haz Mat and the FD were notified to secure the building. Later on, at about 3:30 p.m., it was determined that the substance was a medical powder and people were then allowed to exit the building...

FD shut off a burner at Stratford Avenue on the same day... FIREMEN EXTINGUISHED a fire in the engine of an MTA bus at Franklin Avenue on March 2...
