Residents Announce DVD Release
Erin Quill & Chil Kong are pleased to announce that the feature film, The Sensei, will be released on DVD on March 9th by Echo Bridge Entertainment. They are Associate Producers on the film, which was written and directed by Diana Lee Inosanto, who is the Goddaughter of Martial Arts legend, Bruce Lee, and an accomplished Martial Artist in her own right.
The Sensei has been endorsed by The Matthew Shepard Foundation’s Thomas Howard, who called it, “A film that will change hearts and minds... and more importantly, save lives.” Philip Chung of Asian Week Magazine called it, “A different kind of martial arts film” and Frameline called it, “An ambitious genre-bending indie”.
The Sensei has been featured as an Official Selection in 12 film festivals, winning four awards, including a ‘Best Feature’ and a Jury ‘Grand Prize’.
The story revolves around Karen O’Neill, a Martial Artist who was denied advancement in her Dojo because she was a woman, returning home after an absence of five years. In their small town in the rural Midwest, young McClain Evans is the target of repeated and escalating bullying. When the two meet, their destinies collide.
The theme of The Sensei is, “You have a right to defend yourself against hatred”
It is available for pre-order on www.Amazon.com and through Echo Bridge Entertainment’s website: www.echobridgeentertainment.com
