Last Wednesday, former Garden City HS girls’ lacrosse teammates played against each other as Holy Cross played the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. (L to R) Lauren Terracciano (UMass), Katie Gardner (HC), Dayna Defliese (UMass), and Catherine Furman (HC) played at McGirk Stadium in Amherst in a regular season Division I lacrosse match. All four ladies played together on GC’s 2006 NY State Championship team. As a side note, Lauren Terracciano leads the Minutewoman in scoring after three games with a total of fourteen points, 9 goals and 5 assists.
