Carolyn Pohmer and Andrew Borys Mr. and Mrs. Thomas P. Pohmer of Garden City happily announce the engagement of their daughter, Carolyn, to Andrew Borys, son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Borys of Temple, Texas.

Carolyn is a 2001 graduate of Garden City High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Boston College in 2005 and will complete her Master’s in Literacy from Teacher’s College, Columbia University in May. Carolyn is a teacher at a private elementary school in Manhattan.

Andrew is a 2001 graduate of Holy Trinity Catholic High School in Temple, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame in 2005. Andrew is currently a Media Design and Production Associate at Harris, Rothenberg International in New York City.

A June 2010 wedding is planned in Garden City, New York.
