Jason Peirce and Lauren McGowan Dr. and Mrs. Neil R. McGowan of Garden City, New York announce the engagement of their daughter Lauren Anne McGowan to Jason Allen Peirce, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Peirce, of Lincoln, Rhode Island. A wedding is planned for July 17, 2010.

Miss McGowan is a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, Providence College, and received her Master of Science from Adelphi University. She is currently employed as a special education teacher in Queens, New York.

Mr. Peirce is a graduate of Tolman High School and served in the United States Marine Corps, specializing in communications. He is currently employed in operations at Nuline Transportation Company.
