In connection with the Letter to the Editor written by Marta Waters, the St. John’s Kenyan Children’s Foundation invites you to participate in it’s annual project F.A.C.E. (FEED A CHILD ON EASTER). The Foundation is looking for 50 generous families who are willing to make a donation to provide an Easter meal for 50 Kenyan families in need. This is a beautiful, and very meaningful way to celebrate Easter in our families. The families of the children sponsored by the Foundation will receive large packs of food, which will be distributed during the last week of Lent. The food will be enough to feed a Kenyan family for two to four weeks. The suggested donation is $25 per family. In addition, we ask that you pray together as a family for all the innocent Kenyan children who are being affected by famine. The project Coordinator is Marta Waters. Anyone interested in participating in this project please email Marta at marta.waters@att.net to pledge your donation. Checks must be made payable to the St. John’s Kenyan Children’s Foundation and mailed to P.O. Box 411, Garden City, NY 11530. All donations must be received by March 28. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Wine Tasting Update: The Foundation would also like to invite everyone to participate in their upcoming Wine Tasting Fundraiser. The invitations have been mailed out and responses are already coming in. Don’t miss this great event. We encourage you to send back your response card soon. The Wine Tasting will be held on Saturday, March 27, at 8pm, at Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale. Bring your family and friends. A fun evening is planned for everyone to enjoy. There will be great prizes at the Chinese and Silent Auctions for the lucky winners to take home. Fine wines will also be available for tasting and ordering. This is a great opportunity to support the mission of the foundation, which is to provide an education and to promote the welfare of orphan Kenyan children. The cost is $25 per person.
