The Honorable Judge John D. Riordan to Speak on Wills, Estates and Trusts

On Monday March 8th we are privileged to have The Honorable Judge John D Riordan, Chief Justice of the Surrogate Court to speak on the role of the Surrogate Court in the probate of wills and the administration of estates, guardianships and adoptions. When a person dies, the Surrogate’s Court is where the business of winding up his or her estate would be handled. The proper distribution of assets and tax ramifications should be a subject of interest to all seniors. Ladies are invited to attend.

Make Your Reservations For Our Monday March 15th In-House St. Pat’s Party

YES it is St. Pat’s time already. Monday March 15th we will celebrate the birthday of the beloved Saint of Ireland. Rudy Kaiser and Gary Metzler are carving the corned beef, cooking the cabbage and setting the table for our annual celebration. Dr. George Rivara, 14 First Street, Garden City, NY 11530 will accept your reservation and your check for $15.00 ($13.00 plus $2.00 for lucky bucks), payable to the Garden City Retired Men’s Club. Please sign up early and help Rudy prepare the right amount of corned beef.

Proper diet and exercise is the best thing you can do for yourself. Felicia still stands ready to tone your muscles and put a little spring in your step. Twice a day, three times a week. Felicia, we can’t thank you enough. Join her any Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:15 or 10:30 AM. Classes are free and the exercise is great.

Bowl For Fun And Exercise

A special added attraction has been added to our Friday afternoon bowling. A charming, delightful and dynamic young lady named Gale has chosen to adopt our entire group of bowlers. She enthusiastically provides encouragement and a tip or two on how to make a spare. She is a joy to us all and provides a much needed sense of what life should be all about, FUN. Thank you, Gale. Call Ron Zwicke at 747-6842 to join us and enjoy a pleasant afternoon with a fun group.

Attention All Poker Players

The poker players are waiting for you to join the party. If you have an inclination to play, call Peter Martin at 248-7258 or John De Santis at 775-8252.
