Ryan Jackson will give a recital at the Cathedral of the Incarnation. Ryan Jackson, a renowned organist, will be giving a recital on Sunday, February 28 at 4 p.m. in the Cathedral of the Incarnation located on Cathedral Avenue in Garden City. Ryan Jackson is a native of Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada. He is the winner of the Royal College of Canadian Organists’ 2005 National Organ Playing Competition. In 2008 Mr. Jackson completed his Master’s Degree at Yale University where he studied with Thomas Murray as a recipient of the Robert Baker stipend. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Musical Arts at the Julliard School of Music in New York City where he studies with Paul Jacobs. Jackson is attending Julliard on a full scholarship as the winner of the C.V. Starr Doctoral Fellowship. The recital will include works by J.S. Bach, Maurice Durufle and Rachel Laurin. The suggested donation for this recital is $10 for general seating, $5 for seniors and free admission for students and children under 13.
