Parenting Workshop At Episcopal Seminary
A Parenting Workshop is being offered at the Episcopal Mercer School of Theology on February 25 and March 4, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The objective of the workshop is to help parents identify their family goals with their children as well as providing a framework from which parents can understand their children at different developmental stages. Effective vs. ineffective parenting styles is addressed, in addition to role modeling, communication and conflict resolution, the importance of routines, rules and boundaries. In addition, this workshop can help you help your child accomplish developmental tasks, especially during the challenging times of infancy, toddler and adolescence. The presenter is Ms. Lely Alamina, ECS Staff Developmental Specialist. The fee is $30 for both sessions. The Mercer School of Theology is located on the campus of the Cathedral of the Incarnation. The entrance is off of Cherry Valley Avenue between Sixth and Fourth Streets. All are invited to participate in this valuable workshop regardless of their religious affiliation.
