The Garden City Teacher Association (GCTA) is hosting its first annual “GC For A Cure” on Saturday, April 17th, 2010 at the Garden City High School. The 5K Run/Walk will take place at 9:45AM and the 1.5 Mile Run/ Walk will start at 9:00AM. All Race/Walk proceeds will benefit Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). In addition, Uniting Against Lung Cancer will be hosting Kites for a Cure(tm), a fun family Kite Fly to support their lung cancer research grant program.
