Café Ablaze Hosts Band, Singer
Tiffany Smitelli
Café Ablaze Christian Coffeehouse reopens Saturday, March 20, for an evening of outstanding entertainment and abundant delectable refreshments. All are invited to bring a friend and relax at candlelit tables, while enjoying flavored coffees, assorted desserts, fresh fruit, and gelato.
The Opener will be Christian folk rock artist and singer, Tiffany Smitelli, who is part of her church’s rock music ministry. Outside of church, this mother of five has performed all over Long Island, even opening for rock band New Kids On The Block. Her most memorable performance came right after 9/11, when she sang the National Anthem at Shea Stadium. Tiffany looks forward to adding Café Ablaze to her list of performance venues.
The featured talent will be contemporary Christian band Cross Purpose (www.crosspurposeband.com). Four brothers who formed it in 2005 like to say it’s not their band but the Lord’s. Although ten-time winners in the Billboard Music Songwriting Contest, touching just one heart or bringing one soul closer to God is what makes them feel successful. They play Christian coffeehouses, secular venues, benefits, and junction as praise and worship team members for various church services in Brewster, New York. Their style ranges from blues to progressive rock, and their sound relies on a solid rhythmic foundation that supports strong vocals and dazzling lead guitar. Their CD, Cross Purpose: Sum of the Parts, released in 2007, has won wide acclaim and was mastered by a Grammy Award winning producer.
