The Regional Participants attended an NBA/WNBA clinic and then performed to a standing room only crowd. Kyle Skramko won the NYC/NY Knicks Regional (for boys 13-14 years old) and we are proud to say is one of only two boys in the country that qualified for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP to be held in Dallas February 12th-15th during the NBA ALL STAR Weekend! Kyle will be competing versus another player from Nevada in the National Championship this Saturday at the American Airlines arena.

NBA Fit is sponsored by SINGULAIR/Merck. The NBA FIT/ WNBA FIT Challenge is free for boys and girls ages 14 and under, and encourages participants to maintain healthy, active lifestyles. The competition offers more than 100,000 youngsters the chance to demonstrate their physical fitness through a time-based fitness course that includes line sprints, jump rope, speed revolutions, wall passes, and defensive shuffles. The challenge tests participants’ speed, strength, agility, and overall physical fitness. Local competitions take place nationwide from September through November and regional competitions ran through January 2010 in all NBA Markets and (5) D-League markets.
