Garden City residents Howard Edelman, of Edelman Business Systems, and daughters Lily and Rose Edelman joined thousands of Long Islanders once again last Sunday, for the 10th annual Long Beach Polar Bear Club Super Bowl Plunge. The temperature was a blustery 33_ F on this cloudless first Sunday in February. At 1:00 p.m. swimmers young and old braved the frigid 40_ F water temperature of the Atlantic Ocean for a great cause. Thanks to the generosity of members of the Garden City Jewish Center, the Edelmans submitted $200 in donations to the event to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation.
