Judges Miss Sambus, Mrs. Tomasheski & Mrs. Raymond sampling the goodies!

Girl Scout Brownie Troop 1125 and Cadette Troop 1110 got together for a Joint Troop Bakeoff on January 29th! The Brownies baked brownies and cookie bars and the Cadettes baked pies and cheesecakes. The girls were thrilled to have Mrs Raymond, Ms. Sambus and Mrs. Tomasheski of Stewart school as their guest judges! While the judges sampled the goodies, the girls worked together to make “valentine oracles” (like valentine magic 8-balls) along with SWAP pins, which they’ll swap with other Garden City Girl Scouts at the upcoming Garden City Girl Scout Birthday Party & Bakeoff on 2/26.

Congratulations to Bridget for Cadette Troop 1110’s 1st place “Strawberry Glace Pie” and to Courtney for Brownie Troop 1125’s 1st place “Health Bar Brownies”! Bridget and Courtney will bake their entries again for the Association Bakeoff Finals on 2/26, where their entries will be judged along with other winning entries from Girl Scout Troops all across Garden City!
