Garden City Places Third In Division
Joe Lozano wins the 200IM
This past weekend the varsity swim team competed in their Division championships at the Aquatic Center. The boys finished with an impressive third place finish. In one of the most exciting races of the day, Joe Lozano an eighth grade student won the 200 IM, just hundredths of a second ahead of his competition. Joe also won the 500 yd Freestyle with a personal best time. Other award winning swims included the Connor Brown placing 2nd in the 500 Free, Captain Chris Ajemian placing third in the 100 Backstroke. The 200 FR Relay placed 3rd (Chris Ajemian, Joe Lozano, Steve Jozkowski, Frank Caponegro) and the 400 FR Relay placed 2nd (Joe Lozano, Brendan Logan, Chris Ajemian, and Mike Sullivan)

The team has worked hard all season, and many of the athletes swam personal best times during the division championship. Those swimmers included Joe Lozano (200IM, 500 FR), Matt Finnegan (200 FR), Mike Sullivan (200 FR), Brendan Logan (200 FR,100 FR) Dan Finnegan (200IM, 100Fly), Delaney Hall (200IM, 100BR), Stephen Olewski (200IM, 100 Fly), Steven Jozkowski (50 FR), Anthony Kraff (50 FR), Jonathan Ardito (50 FR,100 BR), Dennis Crilly (100 Fly,100 BR),Frank Caponegro(100 Fly, 100BR) Chris Ajemian (100 FR,100BK), Connor Brown (500FR), Mike Sullivan (500FR), Neil Quigley (500FR), Jimmy Searson (100BK).
