Garden City’s boys basketball team fell to the Oyster Bay Baymen on January 30th, but not before making a valiant effort at a comeback after being down 39-23 at the half. Matt Montgomery led the scoring for the Trojans with 17 points. Griffin Eilbeck added 13 points of his own followed by Matt Schlatter (7), Dylan Sexton (7), Mike Snead (3), Dan Colamussi (2), Eddie Blatz (2), and James Cauchi (2). Unfortunately it wasn’t enough for the Trojans as GC lost the game 60-53. Oyster Bay’s Joe Carbone led all scoring with 19 points.

JC Gardyn, Matt Montgomery, Dylan Sexton and Mike Snead, the four graduating seniors on the team, were honored at halftime by their family and friends.
