Summer fun outdoors at GCNS. With freezing temperatures outside it is hard to recall the warm, sunny days of summer. Yet it’s time to start thinking ahead to summer 2010! Once again, Garden City Nursery School brings back its popular Summer Program for 3-5 year olds. This program offers flexibility and convenience for busy families while providing an enriching environment for preschoolers over the summer months.

Running for six weeks, June 28th through August 6th, parents have the option to register for 1 through 6 week sessions. This year, the camp day has been extended to a full three hours — 9:15am-12:15pm. Children who have completed a 3 or 4 year old nursery program are eligible for three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Children who have completed a toddler program are eligible for two mornings a week (Tuesday and Friday). The relaxed and varied program offers plenty of engaging activities for children to enjoy, including: arts and crafts, music, stories, and water play in the sprinklers and wading pool. A healthy snack is included and no parent participation is required. Located adjacent to the Garden City Pool, the morning program allows families the ease of picking up their children from camp and then spending an afternoon together poolside.
