POLICE REPORT: MISCHIEF AND MAYHEM:

ON JANUARY 31, GC detective and Nassau County special units , based on information obtained during the course of an investigation, arrested a 20-year-old female, a 23-year-old male and a 21-year-old male, for the possession of a large amount of heroin at Parking field 9 E. The female was charged with the possession of heroin and hypodermic needles, the 23-year-old was charged with possession of heroin and the 21-year-old was charged with the intent to sell heroin ( a felony)... ON JANUARY 27, police arrested a 20-year-old GC male for the criminal mischief on December 21 at the Nassau Blvd. RR Station where he allegedly broke windows there... ON JANUARY 29, 2 p.m., a 22-year old Brooklyn male and a 23-year-old Nanuet NY male allegedly acting in consort, allegedly stole $825 in merchandise at Lord and Taylor, which included 2 Polo shirts, 2 Polo jackets, and 1 Polo hat... ON JANUARY 30, a resident at a Linbergh St. house while in the basement heard a noise coming from upstairs in the house. A male described as dark, 6 ‘tall, wearing black, was seen fleeing the house through the front door. Entry had been made through an unlocked back door and nothing was found missing... ON JANUARY 27, a $250 GPS was taken from an unlocked car at Community Park between 4 and 5 p.m... PO Sommer arrested a 37-year-old Freeport man for allegedly not signaling a turn at Stewart Avenue at 3:30 p.m. on January 27. He was charged with the turn violation, suspended license, no insurance, and for a county warrant for aggravated unlicensed operation... ALSO ON JANUARY 27, detectives arrested a 29-year-old Brooklyn male as he left court for another offense, on a charge of the larceny of gift cards at Sears. The man was also charged with 7 counts of forged instrument for 6 forged credit cards and 1 fake Georgia license... ON JANUARY 28, early morning, items were taken from unlocked cars at Meadow St., Pine St., Willow St., Avalon and Russell Roads. Also on January 28, the same thing happened at Tremont St., First Place, Iris Lane, Surrey Lane, and Pell Terrace. Mostly loose change was taken, although there were 2 Ipods, a GPS and extinguisher found missing...

FIRE RESPONSES: A SMOKE DETECTOR activated at the Ethical Humanist Society on February 1... ON FEBRUARY 2, the FD used an extinguisher and 3/4 hand line to knock down a fire in the engine of a car at Old Country Road ...
