NSDAR Philanthropic Luncheon
The Colonel Aaron Ogden Chapter, NSDAR, Janet Littlejohn, Regent, has announced it will hold its annual Philanthropic Luncheon on Friday, April 9th , at beautiful Westbury Manor. Social Hour, with butler passed hors d’oeuvres and a generous cold display, will begin at 11:30am.
Mrs. Frederick Dreyhaupt , a long time and highly active member of NSDAR, will be honored at this event. Mrs. Deyhaupt is the current NSDAR New York State Librarian. In addition, she has held numerous chairmanships at the state and local level in the organization, and is a Past Regent of the chapter.
Speaker at the luncheon will be Dr. Natalie Naylor. She will present a program entitled “Surviving the Ordeal: Long Island Women During the Revolution.” If you have an interest in American Revolutionary History, women’s issues, or Long Island history, this is an event you will not want to miss!!
Monies raised at this luncheon go to support various NSDAR philanthropies, including student scholarships, schools for the disadvantaged, Native American issues, and historic education and preservation.
