Donations Needed For Eagle Scout Project
Paul Joseph Amato, an Eagle Scout candidate from Troop 56, needs resident contributions to help him carry out his community service project, which will benefit Bethany House, a shelter for homeless women & children on Long Island.
Paul’s project has multiple phases one of which was a winter coat collection which he collect 176 winter coats and jackets through the generosity of Garden City residents. All items were cleaned and distributed prior to Christmas to Bethany House, Rosa Parks Inn and Our Lady of Loretta Outreach Program in Hempstead. Paul held a fundraiser and came short of the funds needed to complete the remainder of his project. He has already purchased the two dressers and two night tables and various other items Bethany House needs but he is short the money to purchase 300 metro cards. The cost of each metro card is $2.25.
If you are able to contribute anything to help Paul, please do so by making your check payable to: Troop 56 BSA, (please note in the memo area: Paul Amato’s Eagle Scout Project) and send your check to Paul J. Amato, 92 Pine Street, Garden City, NY 11530. Donations are needed by February 13.
