Members of Food for Friends Club recently baked dozens of loaves of pumpkin bread for the Mary Brennan Inn in Hempstead. Each month the club meets to prepare foods, from meals to desserts, for the local soup kitchen. They also fundraise through bake sales to provide monies to purchase the ingredients and generously give their time in food preparation. “These are just the best kids in the world!!!” commented club advisor Patricia Muller. Thanks to the club’s efforts, many families enjoyed a lovely holiday meal.
