On Friday February 5, 2010, Resurrection Lutheran Church in Garden City will be hosting a special fund raising event to support two causes near and dear to the Resurrection family. Proceeds from this event will be dedicated toward the medical expenses of 21-year-old Jessica Stevens, a church member and Garden City resident, who is battling severe complications from Lyme Disease (www.hope

forjessica.blogspot.com) and the ministries and community services at THE LIFE, our new sister campus located in Old Westbury (www.thelifeny.org).

The live Auction of Fine Art and Memorabilia from the Sports, Music, and Entertainment world, will be conducted by the professionals from AJ Ross Auctions. Come and enjoy wine, cheese and hors d’oeuvres during the preview at 7 pm., with dessert and coffee after the auction event, which begins at 8 pm. Many local food establishments have generously donated wonderful culinary appetizers and restaurant gift certificates for our raffles. In addition, there will be a professional chef displaying his culinary delights and sharing his cooking tips with you.
