the Epilepsy Foundation of Long Island will feature Maggie Hoffman at a workshop from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Epilepsy Foundation, 506 Stewart Ave. Ms. Hoffman is director of Chronic Care (Project DOCC) and founding member of the Self Determination Coalition. Project DOCC (Delivery of Chronic Care) is a unique medical education program in which parents teach pediatric and family practice residents, and other health professionals. BETWEEN JANUARY 13 and 14, a $200 GPS was taken from an unlocked car parked on Laurel Street... ON JANUARY 15, PO Tuohy arrested a 28-year-old Baldwin female for allegedly stealing 2 Free People shirts, 2 Thread For Thought shirts, 1 French Connection tank top, 3 Language shirts, at Lord and Taylor... ON JANUARY 15, detectives arrested a 29-year-old Patchogue male for allegedly stealing a $399 My Touch cell phone at T Mobile on December 23... ON JANUARY 17, police assisted County police with an arrest of a Meadow Street resident in an alleged assault that occurred on Oak Street, Uniondale on December 31... A $3,000 SOUND system was taken from a car and the interior of the car was found damaged on January 17... BETWEEN JANUARY 15 and 17, someone damaged a $500 glass door at a Euston Road house... BETWEEN JANUARY 13 and 14, 6 unlocked cars were found ransacked with nothing missing at Russell Road, Huntington Road, Kenwood Road, Laurel Street, Wetherill Road and Devereaux... ON JANUARY 13, police arrested a 23-year-old Wilkes Barre PA male for the aggravated harassment of a GC resident, after he allegedly made lewd phone calls to that resident... ON JANUARY 15, detectives arrested an 18-year-old GC male for a 5/29/2009 alleged larceny of a handbag at the GC high school... A truck stop was conducted on January 15 and 9 trucks were inspected with 7 trucks taken out of service and 56 tickets issued... That same day, PO Sommer observed a 29-year-old Elmont male in possession of marijuana and he was arrested... ON JANUARY 16, police arrested two GC 19-year-olds for the possession of marijuana at the Stewart Manor RR station... ON JANUARY 13, PO Sommer arrested a 39-year-old Hempstead female for aggravated DWI (.32%), unlicensed operation, improper plates, no registration, and no insurance at Old Country Road/Washington Avenue after a property damage auto accident occurred there. The woman also had a warrant from Hempstead for driving a car with insufficient lights and a County warrant for petit larceny...
