THE NASSAU NORTH SHORE Christian Women’s Club invites all women to its “Sugar ‘N Spice” Luncheon to be held on Feb. 2 at 11:30 a.m. at the George Washington Manor Restaurant, Old Northern Blvd., Roslyn. ON JANUARY 12, someone stole a Timberland handbag containing a cell phone and personal papers at the Adelphi Sports Complex. The victim had placed the bag for about 15 minutes on the ground and returned later to find it missing. Value of missing property was $400... ON JANUARY 11, PO Oswald observed a 24-year-old Locust Valley male allegedly crossing double yellow lines on Old Country Rd. at 3:55 a.m. He was arrested for alleged DWI (.08%), no passing zone, unsafe lane change, and no insurance... BETWEEN JANUARY 7 and 8, unknown persons rummaged through an unlocked car parked at Heath Place, however nothing was found missing at this time.. .ON JANUARY 7, PO Walsh arrested a 17-year-old Hempstead male for the alleged shoplifting of jewelry and a sweatshirt at Sears. Value was $30... PO TUOHY ARRESTED a 25-year-old Oceanside female for the alleged theft of clothing including designer labels such as Karen Kane, Free People, and Buffalo, at Lord and Taylor, on January 9...ON THE SAME DAY, someone damaged the front fender and grill of a 2007 VW parked at a Franklin Ct. residence... A SHOULDER BAG containing an iPod, credit cards, and cash was stolen at a NHP Road business on January 9... ON JANUARY 10, at 10:15 p.m., PO Wehr stopped a 31-year-old Hempstead male for a defective brake light and he was subsequently arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation because of having 2 suspensions for DWI. He was also charged with false personation for providing a false name as well as expired registration and insurance... ON JANUARY 7, police conducted truck stop at Clinton Road with the DOT at the scene. 18 trucks were inspected with 7 placed out of service and 45 tickets issued...

FIREMEN EXTRICATED a victim from an overturned car on Franklin Avenue on January 10... A CARBON MONOXIDE detector malfunctioned at Third Street on January 11... WATER LEAKED at an East Drive house on January 12...
