The Garden City Public Library is pleased to announce its participation in the Nassau Digital Doorway, which provides a collection of downloadable media. Beginning February 1st, Garden City Public Library patrons can use their library cards to download audiobooks and eBooks to their iPods and other Mp3 devices, phones, and Sony eReaders through the Library’s website 24 hours a day seven days a week.

Titles to be downloaded will be available in every genre and subject including best-selling fiction, business, current events, history, mystery, travel and much more as well as children’s and young adult materials. Patrons need a valid Garden City Public Library card, a personal computer, and an internet connection to use the new digital collection. More details will be available in the coming weeks about the launching of this new electronic service and the titles to be offered.
