GC Police Are #1

To the Editor:

I just wanted to express my sincere thanks to the Garden City Police Department for their help with our family emergency. When my wife called me at my office and told me that my 6 year old daughter has passed out on the bathroom floor, I raced home. I was literally there in 5 minutes only to find 3 garden City Police cars in front of my house already!!! They made us feel at ease as we awaited the ambulance’s arrival. Thankfully everything turned out ok.

As a Garden city resident only for 1 year it is comforting to know we are being protected by a group of caring policemen. Again, to Ernest Cipullo and the rest of the Garden City Police Department a sincere thanks and best wishes for the holiday season.

To the Editor:

As a representative of the parent group working on the Nassau Boulevard Safe Passage Initiative, I would like to take this opportunity to thank those in the community who supported our efforts over the last four months to make sure our children remain safe on their way to school and back each day. We are, of course, thrilled that the Village of Garden City Board of Trustees has voted to place a crossing guard at this extremely busy location and look forward to the New Year when that person will be in place, crossing the children each morning and afternoon. My sincere thanks to all those who participated in this initiative.
