EPOA Membership Goes Live

The Eastern Property Owners' Association is now accepting membership applications online through its Web site: www.gcepoa.org. Residents living in the East, who wish to renew their membership or join for the first time, may submit their application and pay via credit card through the EPOA's secure Web site.

Annual family membership is $15 for a couple, in which you and your spouse/partner are each voting members. Membership is $20 for a couple and one voting adult child, $25 with two adult children and $30 with three. To qualify for membership, you must be a resident (a person over the age of 18 whose principal residence is in Garden City) within the corporate limits of Garden City, east of the center of Franklin Avenue.

The EPOA exists to represent the interests of every resident of Garden City's eastern section, where approximately 40 percent of Village residents live, making it the largest of the four sections. Ongoing major Village issues that particularly impact the East include the HUB transportation system and "P" zone development.

Residents may also join the EPOA using the traditional mail-in registration. A membership form and addressed return envelope are enclosed with the January 2009 Newsletter that has been mailed to all residents of the East.

Membership fees help fund newsletters, postcards, special communications, polls and elections.
