Estates Nominating Committee Selects Candidates For School, Village Boards
The Nominating Committee of Garden City Estates (Estates Nom Comm) voted to determine the nominees for Trustee candidates for School Board and Village. The Estates Nom Comm will present at the Estates Electors’ meeting (Tuesday, January 19, 2010 @ 8PM in Stratford School Auditorium) Colleen Foley for School Board Trustee candidate, and Brian Daughney for Village Trustee candidate.
In accordance with the Property Owners’ Association of Garden City Estates (Estates POA) Bylaws, the Estates Nom Comm met earlier this year to select a Committee Chairperson. They subsequently met several times to organize, prepare, and recruit Estates residents for the two available trustee positions expiring in 2010. After placing two announcements in the local village periodicals, and after mailing an announcement to Estates residents on the Estates POA mailing list, they received and reviewed resumes. Candidates were interviewed, and the Estates Nom Comm voted to select the two residents who will be the nominees for respective trustee candidates for School and Village in the Village Election on Tuesday, March 16, 2010.
