Middle School Lacrosse Players
As a reminder, girls in grades 7 and 8 who play on the Middle School team are also permitted to play in the Ram’s program. Both grades 7 & 8 compete in the Long Island Senior Girl’s Youth Lacrosse League. LISGYLL is a highly competitive community based league that follows US Lacrosse high school full checking rules. LISGYLL is sanctioned by US Lacrosse and Nassau County Women’s Lacrosse Officials Association to participate as a full checking program.
GC Girl’s Rams Lacrosse is a Travel Program
Please note that the GC Rams Girl’s Lacrosse program is a highly competitive travel lacrosse program, open to grades 3 to 8, and requires both player and parent commitment. Attendance at practices is mandatory. The Lacrosse season officially starts on March 1 and ends on June 30. It is important for both parents and players to understand that signing up for GC Rams Girls Lacrosse is committing to making lacrosse their primary sport and GC Rams their primary team in lacrosse from the season. When participating in more than one travel sport, or lacrosse team, conflicts will occur. We ask that you consider this when registering you daughter to play for the GC Rams. While every effort is made to coordinate practice and game schedules with other sports programs, it is not always possible. Again, Lacrosse is a spring sport and we ask each participant to make it her priority sport for the season and GC Rams the priority team. Games are played on either Saturday or Sunday and practices are limited to two per week.
