Stratford Students Welcome Children’s Author
Students in Stratford’s second through fifth grades recently welcomed author Jerry Pallotta for a lively discussion about his writings and cover designs. Mr. Pallotta has written over 50 books for children, many of them alphabet books, and is currently completing his “Read a Zillion Books Tour 2009.”
After teachers requested more “simple non-fiction nature books,” he got to work writing “The Icky Bug Alphabet Book,” “The Bird Alphabet Book,” and many more. Mr. Pallotta visits over 150 schools each year, sharing his inspiring ideas and humor. While at Stratford, Mr. Pallotta spoke about his childhood in Massachusetts, how he became an author, and the types of books he’s written.
