Garden City High School senior Michael Abatemarco, pictured here with (left to right) 6-12 Guidance Coordinator Kitty Klein, guidance counselor Patrick Doyle, and high school principal Nanine Cuttitta, was recently selected as a Semi-Finalist in the 2009 Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation competition. Each year since 1986, the Foundation supports 1,400 students with financial support to “establish a legacy for the education of tomorrow’s leaders through college scholarships.”
