Stephen Iovino The Music Academy of Garden City is proud to announce that December 2009’s Musician of the Month is Stephen Iovino! Stephen is a fourth grader at Stratford Elementary School, and has been taking piano and voice lessons with Molly Mustonen for about a year and a half. Stephen performed at the Music Academy’s Recital and Awards Dinner last June, and is currently preparing his first solo for the NYSSMA festival this Spring. His teacher Molly nominated Stephen because of his work ethic and great attitude. She said, “Stephen is always prepared for his lessons, and has a natural ear. It is obvious when he sings and plays that he listens to a lot of music, and really enjoys learning new pieces.” The Music Academy faculty wishes Stephen continued success in his musical development!
