Free Breast Cancer Support Groups

The Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer program is offering new support groups. There is no cost for any group; however pre-registration is required. For information, questions, or to sign up, call Sandi Kafenbaum, LCSW, at (516) 877-4314, or the Breast Cancer Hotline at (800) 877-8077.

For Women Newly Diagnosed with Breast Cancer - Tuesday evenings

An evening group will meet weekly for eight weeks from 7pm to 8:30 pm, tentatively beginning on January 26.

For Single Women - Tuesday evenings.

An evening group will meet weekly for eight weeks from 7 pm to 8:30 pm, tentatively beginning January 26.

For Women Post-treatment - Monday Evenings

An evening group will meet weekly for eight weeks from 7 pm to 8:30 pm, tentatively beginning January 25.

For Women with Metastatic Breast Cancer - Monday evenings

An ongoing evening group from 7 pm - 8:30 pm.

For Women with Breast Cancer - Tuesday mornings

A daytime group will meet weekly for eight weeks, from 11 - 12:30 pm, tentatively beginning on January 26.

The Close Knit Group - A knit and talk group for women with breast cancer

A daytime ongoing group meets monthly on Tuesday afternoons from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

All groups meet at Adelphi University School of Social Work in Garden City.
