On December 4th Garden City Detectives arrested Jonathan D. Schmidt, 20, of, Garden City, for five incidents of making graffiti within the Village of Garden City during the past few weeks. According to police, during these incidents the defendant sprayed paint several buildings and fences in Garden City using the tag JOKR - SK including a joker hat above the word. Nassau County Detectives also rearrested Jonathan D. Schmidt on December 7 for several similar graffiti incidents at Garden City Park, Garden City South and Carl Place locations.

Schmidt was charged with three counts of Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, three counts of Criminal Mischief 4th Degree and six counts of Making Graffiti.
