Register for Children’s Programs from Home
The Garden City Public Library is now using Eventkeeper, an online calendar that enables our patrons to register for children’s and young adult programs online. The first children’s programs to register using Eventkeeper are the Holiday Craft Programs on December 5th. In the Children’s Room, patrons can access Eventkeeper from any of the OPACs by clicking on the “Children’s Calendar of Events” icon. At home, go to the Library’s website (www.gardencitypl.org) and choose “Children’s Room” from the side menu. On the side of the Children’s Room page, choose “Calendar of Events.” On the Calendar of Events page, under the program description, there will be a small white button that says “Register.” Click on it and fill out a brief form to sign your child up. It’s easy and convenient.
Upcoming Storytimes
Registration for Winter 2010 storytimes and book discussions will begin at 9:30a.m. on Monday, January 11, 2010. As in the past, registration can be done online at www.gardencitypl.org by clicking on the registration link or in person in the Children’s Room. Information regarding storytimes and other upcoming programs will be available online and in the Library later this month.
