Troy Sorensen with a classic delivery The Garden City Sting U12/13 travel team recently completed a successful Fall season of competitive baseball. The Sting is comprised of 7th and 8th grade middle school students many of which played at the 90’ baseball diamond level for the first time. The season highlight was a string of four victories within a five game stretch.

The 10 game schedule against teams from Nassau and Suffolk proved to be an excellent training ground for Spring baseball in 2010 as the boys put in extra work on their pitching, pick-off moves, hitting, reading pitchers and stealing, fielding and special defensive plays.
