The 2009-10 GC Mavericks
The 2009-10 GC Mavericks The Boys U-10 Mavericks soccer team defeated the Port Washington Torpedoes with a Shut-out victory this past Saturday to end their Fall season with a successful 5-4 record for their efforts.

The entire team played the strongest game of their season with some of the goals scored by Kevin McNiff, Steven Spiakis, and a three goal “Hat Trick” from Offender Vincent Como. The entire team should be proud of a game and season played with concentration and determination. Offense was incredible, calm and aggressive, including successful contributions from all Offensive players. Defense was extremely strong, with great defensive play from Conor Clark at right defender, consistently pushing up play to Right defender MikeLiberopoulos in the second half. Collin Crean had a terrific game at Offense, and the list goes on.

The parents of the Maverick players would like to thank Coaches Clark and Liberopoulos for their determination, patience and confidence in all of the Maverick players. A great thank you also goes out to Trainer Brian Wipperman for teaching and nurturing the boys to a well earned respectful position in travel soccer. The team looks forward to a great Spring season in 2010.
