Our Hometown Heroes tell the Cub Scouts about the Normandy Invasion
Our Hometown Heroes tell the Cub Scouts about the Normandy Invasion The theme of the month for the Cub Scouts of Pack 243 was “Honoring Hometown Heores”. Our scouts were lucky enough to be visited by two decorated veterans from the William Bradford Turner American Legion Post . Mr. Ianncone and Mr. Keating apent the whole hour with the boys recalling their time during the various campaigns of World War II. Both had been in Normandy. They gave the boys a first hand account of The Battle of the Bulge. The scouts lined up and saluted their heroes after the question and answer session and thanked them for putting their lives on the line for our country. A scout “Bully” to all our Veterans!!!
