Participants in New Friends in a Book, the book club for children presently enrolled in Third Grade, are pictured at their meeting on Wednesday, November 18th. The group discussed the funny Thanksgiving story Gooney Bird and the Room Mother by Lois Lowry. New Friends in a Book was designed to help children start thinking critically about books and sharing their opinions about children’s literature. Participants discussed a selection and played a trivia game based on the book.
