Doug Holland of Garden City participated in United Way of Long Island’s Live United Open golf outing at the Huntington Crescent Club. The event raised over $175,000 to support United Way’s Community Impact Fund.
The Live United Open honored John R. Buran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Flushing Savings Bank and Christopher W. Robinson, President of RMS Engineering for their commitment and dedication to Long Island.
“We greatly appreciate the sponsors’ support — especially this year in a challenging economic environment. The monies raised will help United Way to address increased requests for assistance from the many more Long Islanders in need,” said Theresa Regnante, United Way’s President and CEO.
United Way’s Community Impact Fund focuses on changing the lives of Long Islanders by investing in and developing programs that address critical needs in education, income/financial stability and health.
