What’s Up For Young Adults Live Homework Help

The Garden City Library subscribes to Tutor.com, an after school homework help center. Children in grades K - 12 (or their parents) can connect with a “live” tutor for expert help in Math, Science, Social Studies and English daily from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In the Library, simply click the link on the Library website, enter grade level and subject area and you are connected to an expert! To access the site from home, go to www.gardencitypl.org, enter your library card number when prompted, and then follow the easy directions.

Save the Date: Ring in the New Year Early

Welcome in 2010 a little early with your friends at the Library! Come enjoy Rocking Eve of New Year’s Eve on Wednesday, December 30th at 7:30PM. A DJ will provide the music to enjoy and to dance. Refreshments will be served. There will be prizes and a “count-down.” So, wear your party clothes and toast in the New Year, and the new decade with some sparkling cider and noise makers. Registration begins on Tuesday, December, 15th.

Young adult programs are for students in Grade 6-12 and priority is given to Garden City Library cardholders. Registration for young adults may now be done through the Library’s new online calendar system Eventkeeper, which may be reached 24/7 by clicking on Calendar of Events on the website at www.gardencitypl.org. Funding for these programs is provided by The Friends of The Garden City Public Library.
