The kids of Twigs’ moms are proud of their moms’ hard work this year. Between juggling schedules for team sports, music and dance lessons, the orthodontist and doctor visits, girl scouts and boy scouts, and a myriad of other activities and obligations, Twigs’ moms still found time to serve their community and Winthrop-University Hospital. The Twigs’ kids would like you to show your support by coming out to the 35th Annual Golden Goose Gala Candlelight House Tour and Holiday Shopping Boutique on Friday, November 20th.
After months of organizing, planning, and coordinating, the efforts of the Twigs’ ladies are about to bear fruit. The social shopping event of the season will take place on Friday, November 20th at the Garden City Casino on the corner of 6th and Cathedral. Purveyors of unique and sought-after merchandise will be happy to assist you with your holiday shopping. Take a time-out to enjoy a light lunch served by the Casino’s new caterers, Garden City Caterers from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. After replenishing your energy, shop a little more and purchase raffle tickets for chances to win wonderful prizes. This one-day only shopping event has extended shopping hours from 10 am to 9 pm.
If you haven’t reserved your house tour tickets to view fine Garden City homes, there is still time to purchase them at the Casino on Friday. The tickets are $45. House tour hours are from 4 pm to 7:45 pm on November 20th. Remember to stop back at the Garden City Casino at the end of the evening to drop off your house tour ticket. Your name and phone number on the ticket is your free entry for a special raffle prize of a $100 Lord & Taylor gift card.
Twigs acknowledges the assistance of their Junior Volunteers. These children have unselfishly served their community by helping with the mailings, handing out postcard reminders of the big event while treat-or-treating, and/or donating their time at the Holiday Shopping Boutique. In their tender years, these young people are learning that volunteering is a sacrifice of time and effort but it greatly benefits their community. Twigs applauds this new generation of volunteers.
All proceeds of this day’s events will support the Maternal Childcare Center and Nursery Unit at Winthrop-University Hospital. Twigs encourages you to come out and show your support. Most importantly, Twigs wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
