Dr. Alex DeMoura, Josephine DeMoura. In early October, Dr. Alex DeMoura was the recipient of a special award from the Big Brothers Big Sisters Chapter of Long Island. This non-profit foundation provides guidance and support to children between the ages of 7 through 16. The program highlights the need for mentoring and sharing time with needy children. Dr. DeMoura is a spinal specialist in Garden City at the New York Spine Institute.
