On Wednesday, October 7, the Garden City High School Marching Band students traveled to Broadway to see the musical West Side Story. The students experienced the wonderful music written by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim which is a part of their marching band repertoire for this year. In addition to the outstanding music, the students enjoyed seeing this modern day theatrical production of Shakespeare’s classic, Romeo and Juliet.

This program was coordinated by the Arts in Education Committee of the Garden City PTA and GCUFSD Administration and funded by the Garden City Union Free School District.
