“People, Places and Things”, an exhibition of oil paintings and pastels by Valley Stream artist Noel Darvie will be featured at the Barnes Gallery, (Two Nassau Blvd., Garden City South, NY) December 1st through December 24th, 2009. The exhibition will highlight a variety of landscapes, seascapes and still life paintings created locally and beyond.

An experienced artist, Mr. Darvie has been painting for forty years. Though he does do studio paintings, his preference is painting in the field on location. He has displayed his paintings in galleries on Long Island Westchester County and New Jersey. Darvie studied art at the Westchester Art Workshop in White Plains and the Art Students League in New York City.

The Barnes Gallery is open from Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (516) 538-4503. An artist’s reception will take place at the gallery on Saturday, December 5th, from 5:30p.m -7:30pm. Live Jazz by Pete and John Coco will be performed during the opening reception.
