Artist Suzie Alvey being interviewed on TV by Alexandra Auli The opening reception for the “Faces & Places” Art Show by Suzie Alvey took place recently. The reception for Suzie Alvey, the Garden City artist, was held at the Garden City Public Library Gallery where her exhibit continues through the month of November. It features watercolors, oils & pastels of landscapes & portraits.

Ms. Alvey’s reception was well-attended by members & friends of the Garden City Community Church, the Garden City Historical Society and others. Alexandra Auli, a Hofstra University journalism major, conducted a TV interview with Suzie. Auli also interviewed the models whose pastel and oil portraits were on display, which caused some people to think they were seeing double.
