Discussion Infancy Narratives In Bible
The Adult Faith Formation Board of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Garden City, presents: The Infancy Narratives: A Discussion and Comparison By Msgr. Charles A. Guarino on Wednesday, December 2, in the 7:30 PM in the Saint Agnes Room
How many Infancy Narratives are there? In which books of the Bible are they found? When we put up our Christmas crèches, we usually show three Magi bringing gifts to Jesus Christ in a stable. How many Magi were there? Do we know their names? Where did they find him?
You are invited to get your Advent season off to a good start by attending Msgr. Charles Guarino’s presentation. He will discuss questions such as those listed above, compare the Infancy Narratives, and comment on our culture’s treatment of them. Msgr. Guarino holds a Master of Divinity degree and a doctorate in Canon Law. He has been pastor at three parishes and currently works in the Tribunal for the Diocese of Rockville Centre. Admission is free; all are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served. For more information please contact Sr. Kathleen Corr, OP at the church office (747-3535) or Elizabeth Bailey at 248-8447.
