The members of Garden City Public School’s Board of Education were honored at the October 20, 2009 Regular Meeting for their volunteer efforts on behalf of the Garden City community. New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) established School Board Recognition Week to encourage districts across the state to express appreciation to Boards of Education.

“They are truly unsung hereos, devoting countless hours to do what is best for children and to strengthen our community,” commented Superintendent of Schools Dr. Robert Feirsen.
